January 2018. Australian Boho Wedding Shoot
Max and Heidi are the perfect real couple for this shoot. Max’s laid back nature, (not to mention his amazing locks!) teamed up with Heidi’s all rounded gorgeousness was wonderful to work with. Add in their incredible chemistry on camera and we have a collection of truly stunning images to remember the afternoon by.
Going for a relaxed boho style, when I saw the flowers, I really wanted to pick up the deep red tones, and also emphasise Heidi’s amazing lips. Having a bold lip is certainly really popular for brides on their day and I think it complemented this shoot, with the golden haze, to have that depth to her makeup.
Max’s hair was slightly tamed with some humidifying spray to the ends, along with some sea salt spray for texture. His skin was smoothed slightly with a matifying balm, undetectable to the camera lens but just diminishes the shine on his skin on this rather hot and humid day.
When a bride and groom get ready at the same venue, I often visit the groom during the morning to check his skin, and use a matifying product to give him a little pampering as well 🙂 I find it just blends everything in nicely and takes away the waxy-ness of shiny skin, next to his gorgeous flawless bride who has a little help from a full face of makeup!
